The final major Steam sale of 2020 has opened its doors, giving PC gamers one last chance to lighten their wishlists. Being one of the two most major sales that Valve kicks off each year, the Steam Winter Sale comes in carrying discounts for almost every game, DLC, and software that's offered in the behemoth storefront.
Considering the sale just opened, the servers are taking the usual hammering from users, so prices may jump around a little before settling to their actual discounted rates.
The Steam front page is hosting highlights for some of its biggest sellers, and today's promotions include discounts for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Control Ultimate Edition, Fall Guys, Crusader Kings III, Persona 4 Golden, Ace Combat 7, Untitled Goose Game, and many others. As with all Steam sales for a while now, the discount does not change as the sale progresses, so there are two weeks left on the counter before all these deals disappear.
The Steam Awards have returned as well, this time to gather votes for the final awards ceremony. Steam users can now vote for the elected games in each of the eight categories by heading over here. Valve has updated the Steam Points Shop for the occasion too, bringing holiday-inspired profile customizations, emotes, and other cosmetic effects.
The Steam Winter Sale of 2020 will end its run on January 5 at 10AM PT.
