Sticking to the long-running tradition of leaking sale dates early, Steam's upcoming Halloween, Autumn, and Winter sales' start and end times have slipped out. The report comes via Kotaku UK, who has managed to gather the sales' details from three developers, and considering that the times fall within what people were expecting them to fall under anyway, the dates have a high probability of being true.
The upcoming sale periods according to the report are as follows:
- Halloween Sale: October 26, 2017 - November 1, 2017
- Autumn Sale: November 22, 2017 - November 28, 2017
- Winter Sale: December 21, 2017 - January 4, 2018
Even with the numerous and ever-increasing number of other PC digital game stores and their sales, the mention of Steam sales always seems to generate higher levels of excitement, even though they always seem to be accompanied by grumblings of previous sales being better.
Expect thousands of games to be discounted during the aforementioned periods, and be sure to tune in to our Weekend PC Game Deals feature to find out what games have received the best discounts.
However, as always, remember that since Valve has not confirmed any of the dates themselves, there is a chance of the time frames changing.
