Less than a week after a Sunset Overdrive PC version surfaced through an ESRB listing, the PC version of the Microsoft exclusive title is once again in the news. This time, a back-end Steam app has been discovered that appears to be for Sunset Overdrive.
As Twitter user Wario64 uncovered, the listing is a hidden entry that can only be seen through the third-party tool, SteamDB, and appears to have been getting regular updates since its addition to Steam seven months ago. However, since it's hidden, we can't discern any more information from the page, with only the thumbnail image being visible.
This could mean that PC gamers are getting the popular Insomniac Games title via the Microsoft Store as well as Steam. Microsoft and THQ Nordic do have a partnership that has previously brought Windows 10 games such as ReCore and Super Lucky's Tale over to the Steam platform, and Sunset Overdrive may be gearing up to be the newest addition.
As usual, take the discovery with a grain of salt until some official announcements get made. But, the odds of at least a Windows 10 exclusive release happening is pretty high, considering we've seen ratings for the game pop up in Korea and ESRB this year.
If Microsoft does have any plans to announce or even straight up do a surprise release of the game, the upcoming X018 event on November 10 is a good candidate.
