Surface Earbuds user manual appears on the FCC

Microsoft announced the Surface Earbuds in October, promising that they'll arrive by the end of the year. They didn't. By November, they were delayed until the spring, and the latest rumors are that they'll arrive on May 6. It would seem that the launch is imminent though, since the user manual (via Windows Central) has appeared on the FCC website.

The user manual exposes any secrets that were left on the Surface Earbuds. It shows the design of the case, the USB Type-C charging port on the front, the pair button on the bottom, and the LED light on the inside. The device will include small, medium, and large earbud tips, although medium will be used by default.

You can double-tap on the earbuds to play or pause music, or to answer or hang up a call. There are swipe gestures as well. You can swipe forward or backward to skip music tracks, and you can swipe up or down to adjust the volume. Finally, you can touch and hold it to activate Cortana.

The user manual also notes some things that you can do with Surface Earbuds and Cortana, such as manage your Outlook calendar and email, dictate to Office apps, advance through slides in PowerPoint, and ask Cortana questions.
