Surface Laptop 3 discounted by up to $400, other Surface PCs also being discounted

Microsoft is offering hefty discounts for the Surface Laptop 3 on its store, with the top-of-the-line 13.5-inch model with a Core i7, 16GB RAM, and a 1TB SSD being discounted by up to $400, bringing the price down to $1,999 from $2,399.99. Discounts for other models range from $300 to $370. All 15-inch models are currently off $300 across the range.

The Laptop 3’s 13.5-inch base model sporting a Core i5, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB SSD that usually starts at $999.99 is now available for $799.99, making it $200 off. Bumping up the storage to 256GB shaves $350.99 off the SKU, making it cheaper than the original base model's price at $949.

As noted earlier, all AMD Ryzen-powered 15-inch consumer SKUs are $300 off, with the range now starting at $899.99 for the Ryzen 5 3580U model with 8GB RAM and a 128GB SSD. The fully specced Ryzen 7 3780U sporting SKU with 32GB RAM, a 1TB SSD with Radeon RX Vega 11 graphics costs $2,499.99.

In addition to the Laptop 3, the Redmond giant is also offering discounts on the Pro 7. All models equipped with a Core i5, 8GB RAM, and 256GB storage and above are receiving a $200 discount, but for the Core i7, 16GB, and 512GB storage sporting SKU. That one is receiving a $250.99 discount. With these discounts, going from 128GB to 256GB on the Core i5 model with 8GB of RAM is just a $100 upgrade.

As for the Surface Book 3 that was announced a few months ago, that device also is receiving some discounts, albeit minor ones. The lineup now starts at $1,398 for the 13.5-inch Core i5 model, bringing it down by $201.99. The only other model in this screen size that is receiving a discount is the Core i7 version with 32GB RAM and 512GB SSD, which is down by $220 to $2,279.99. The only 15-inch model that is receiving an off is the Core i7 model with 16GB RAM and a 256GB SSD – which is down by just $57.55.

Microsoft’s ARM-powered Surface Pro X is also seeing some temporary price cuts. The range now starts at $881.41 as opposed to the $999.99 price tag. The sweetest of the deals is the one with the 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD configuration at $1,046.17, a $253.82 discount. The specced out 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD version is down $150.99 to $1,649.

Lastly, the smallest member of the Surface family, the Go 2, has just one model discounted. The entry-level version with a Pentium Gold 4425Y processor and 128GB SSD is down by $45.13 to $504.86.
