The March 2022 firmware is now available for the Surface Laptop 4 with AMD processors and the aging Surface Studio 2. The updates bring graphics, battery, and security improvements.
The AMD-based Surface Laptop 4, released in April 2021, received several notable improvements and enhancements. The update contains new GPU drivers to improve graphics stability and performance. Also, it enables a "Windows 11 feature" to improve battery life, but Microsoft doesn't go into too many details about what it exactly entails. Microsoft has already rolled out this change to numerous Surface devices compatible with Windows 11, and it is now available for the Surface Laptop 4 with AMD processors too. Finally, the March 2022 update improves Surface Dock 2 support.

You can install the March 2022 firmware on any Surface Laptop 4 (AMD) with Windows 10 20H1 (May 2020 Update) or higher, including Windows 11. Microsoft says the update contains no known issues.
On the other hand, the aging Surface Studio 2, which is the only Surface device with seventh-gen Intel CPUs that officially supports Windows 11, received a less inspiring update. According to the changelog, the March 2022 firmware update contains nothing but security fixes.
