Today, Apple announced the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. While the handset will undoubtedly be a hot seller, it looks like T-Mobile is coming out with guns blazing, offering those with at least an iPhone 6 the ability to trade in their handsetto receive an iPhone 7 for free.
While free is always tempting, there are a couple stipulations attached to the offer. First you must trade in an iPhone 6 or better that is not under contract, in working condition and no screen damage. If your trade-in is approved you will receive an iPhone 7 for free, which will start a 24 month agreement with T-Mobile. If you choose to discontinue service with T-Mobile within the 24 month period, you will be required to pay the remaining balance of the phone.
The same applies for those that are considering getting an iPhone 7 Plus. The device will also be available under the same promo, with the only difference being customers will have to pay $120 up front for the device. T-Mobile has also indicated that you can choose other device configurations a well, but will be required to put more money up front when choosing the higher options.
T-Mobile will begin pre-orders of the device starting on September 9th at 12:01am. The device will be officially available to the public starting the following week on September 16th.
