LG most recently debuted its latest smartphone, the G7 ThinQ. Although the firm has not revealed a price and release date, it will be arriving to T-Mobile sometime later this spring. While those eager, wait for the arrival of the G7 ThinQ, T-Mobile has announced that two of its current LG handsets will be getting updated to Android Oreo.
Google's Android Oreo made its debut during the summer of last year and it is slowly finding its way to a variety of handsets. According to T-Mobile's product guru, the update will now be arriving this coming week to the LG V30 and V30+.
Despite the LG V30 and V30+ making its retail debut months after the release of Android Oreo, the handsets arrived with Android Nougat. Over the past two months, Android Oreo has made some gains, arriving on more handsets by default and with more companies pushing updates for its devices.
Hopefully, there won't be any last minute issues with the Oreo update for the V30 and V30+. If everything goes as planned, it will be made available over-the-air (OTA) next week. There should also be support documents for the update posted to T-Mobile's website.
