Adobe has announced that starting later this week, users of Adobe Acrobat will be able to generate and edit images in PDF files with AI text prompts, via Adobe's Firefly Image 3 model.

Microsoft has revised its original plans to phase out the old PDF viewer in Microsoft Edge in favor of the Adobe-powered engine. Now, the company plans to kick out the old engine in early 2025.
Adobe has announced it is adding AI Assistant, a new feature for its Acrobat and Reader PDF apps. It will recommend questions and offer summarize of PDF content, among other features.
