MSI has announced a new ATX12VO-based mother for Intel Alder Lake-S processors. The board is named the PRO H610M 12VO, the first budget 12VO offering. Details, however, on it are low currently.
ASUS has made a new DDR5 to DDR4 adapter which can help fit DDR4 RAM onto a DDR5 motherboard. The device, although prototype, makes sense in the market right now as DDR5 kits are too expensive.
Next-gen DDR5 memory will be 50-60% more expensive than DDR4 was at launch, according to MSI's estimates. Support for the new DRAM standard is being debuted with Intel's 12th gen Alder Lake-S CPUs.
Probably the first DDR4 benchmarks for Intel's upcoming Alder Lake-S desktop processors have leaked today via PugetBench. Overall, the performance on DDR4 seems good at least in the case of this.
