Brave has kept its promise. The firm told the press last year that it would stop auto-installing its VPN services on user PCs after a bit of a backlash. There is now a way to remove Leo as well.

The Brave web browser for Windows has been discovered to also be installing VPN services as well. Brave says that a fix is in the works that will only install the VPN if a person buys them.
Brave Firewall + VPN is now supported by the company's desktop browser. To start using the new feature you need to update the Brave browser to version 1.49 which has only recently been released.
