BT has announced that it's raising its phone and broadband prices for the third time in less than a year and a half, and introducing a new charge of £3.50 per month for BT Sport for some TV customers.

After seeing profit rise by 15% to £3.03bn, BT has announced that it is working on increasing maximum speeds from 76Mbps to 300Mbps, potentially rising to 500Mbps. This is subject to Ofcom approval.
After being slugged with a price rise late last year, BT customers will have to cough up yet again as pricing for landline, mobile and broadband services is set to increase in July.
BT's phone and broadband network has been hit with a severe outage across many parts of the UK, with thousands of reports from customers experiencing issues when trying to use the services.
Leading UK telecoms provider BT is increasing its prices from September, less than ten months after the last 6.5% increase. Line rental will go up by £1, and broadband charges will rise by almost 7%.
