By April 1st, Twitter will remove all legacy verified checkmarks on its platform. These checkmarks were previously given to high-profile accounts like celebrities, politicians, and public figures.

Twitter has dropped the "Official" checkmark less than a full day after its release. CEO Elon Musk also said that the company will retain the original Twitter checkmark to avoid confusion.
