Google stated that starting in 2024, all Chromebooks from 2021 and beyond will get automatic 10-year updates, with older models getting the option to extend updates to 10 years as well.

Google has announced its Chromebook repair program, publishing documentation about how to do basic repairs yourself. It has encouraged schools to adopt it and wants it as an elective for students too.
