Valve officially launched CS2, but has cut support for macOS. It says the game will only run on 64-bit Windows and Linux as older platforms, DX9 and 32-bit systems make up less than 1% of players.

Valve has officially launched Counter-Strike 2, the next game in its popular free-to-play multiplayer team shooter series, with a upgraded graphics engine, along with other changes.
A post on the official Counter-Strike 2 X (formerly Twitter) account seems to hint that the public release of the multiplayer team first-person shooter sequel could happen on September 27.
The first update for Valve's upcoming multiplayer shooter sequel also adds Workshop Tools for mod makers, adds GPU accelerated raytracing for previewing new maps in the level editor, and more.
The tactical shooter from Valve reached a new peak of 1,519,457 players online at once this weekend, a few days after Valve officially announced plans to update the game with Counter-Strike 2.
The new Intel Arc and Iris Xe drivers also have optimizations for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy game and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, along with fixes for a number of previous issues.
The new version of Valve's hugely popular tactical multiplayer shooter is currently in a limited test for select CS:GO players. It will have a ton of upgrades and new features for gamers.
Valve is reportedly working on a new Counter-Strike entry, and an announcement may be just around the corner. The game is reportedly being developed using the Source 2 engine much like Half-Life Alyx.
