The Iranian government could roll out its own cryptocurrency in the future, after recent statements were issued by the country's ICT minister. Iran looks to be following in the steps of Venezuela.

Russia is expected to ban the mining of alternative cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, in the country. It hasn't said that people will be stopped from using them, however.
According to a report, Russia is creating its own cryptocurrency named 'CryptoRuble' that will match the value of the Ruble; the two currencies will be interchangeable, allowing for an equal exchange.
