Twitter has announced that it is killing off Fleets next month. This news comes in just nine months after the feature's global launch. The company says that Fleets was not being used as intended.

Fleets won't be coming to those who have not received it yet anytime soon as Twitter is slowing down its rollout to the general public in order to fix some performance and stability problems.
Twitter announced that its ephemeral content sharing feature, Fleets, is rolling out to all iOS and Android users. With Fleets, users can share tweets, photos, and videos that expire in 24 hours.
First announced in March, Fleets allow Twitter users to share a tweet or photos and videos that will be available on their profiles for only 24 hours and cannot get Likes, Retweets, or replies.
