A player has created a mod that allows players to use DLSS in Starfield. It's important to note that Starfield only supports AMD's FSR. So, will Bethesda officially add DLSS support to the game?
In an interview, AMD's Frank Azor says that while Starfield will prioritize the use of the company's FSR tech on the PC, he added, "If they want to do DLSS, they have AMD's full support.”
Patches to enable AMD's FSR 3 support will be added to Forspoken and Immortals of Aveum sometime in early September. It will be added to every DirectX 11 and 12 game sometime in early 2024.
While it was expected of AMD to have an alternative to Nvidia's DLSS 3 by now with its FSR 3, Team Green is all set to one-up Team Red once more with its new DLSS 3.5 ray reconstruction tech.
AMD's FSR 3 graphics technology will use frame interpolation and upscaling which should give gaming PCs with AMD graphics cards large gains in frame rates while also reducing latency.
