Ofcom has released its Connected Nations report today and it states that gigabit broadband is available in 25% of homes. The government's aim is to reach 85% connectivity by the year 2025.

The UK's internet regulator, Ofcom, has announced proposals to bring full-fibre broadband to the whole of the country including rural areas. The proposals will be finalised in early 2021.
