Microsoft announced this week that users can now gift games through the Microsoft Store on PCs, on top of what was previously made available on Xbox One. Also, now all Xbox One games are eligible.

Microsoft has finally confirmed that game gifting is coming to the Xbox One today, but only for Xbox Insiders in the Alpha ring, thus far. It didn't elaborate if other rings will get the new feature.
After numerous requests for the feature, Microsoft has finally made game gifting via Xbox Live available. However, the feature is currently being tested and only available to Alpha ring Insiders.
In a conversation at PAX West, Xbox's Director of Programming Major Nelson and Platform CVP Mike Ybarra confirmed that one of the top requested features is on the "coming very soon" list.
One of the most requested features besides Backwards compatibility was the ability to gift games to other users on Xbox One. According to a new tweet from an Engineering VP over at Xbox, it's close.
