Google is fully deprecating the original Hangouts Meet app, branded Meet (original), and directing users to install and use the newer version of Meet, which incorporates features from the Duo.

As announced previously, Google planned to shut down Google Hangouts; today is the official date for its closure. Users will automatically be redirected to Google Chat instead of Google Hangouts.
