U.S. lawmakers are expected to pass a bill that will require the removal of Huawei and ZTE equipment from mobile networks in the country. The bill also includes funding for low-income families.

Lawmakers are pushing for banning the installation of Huawei equipment as early as September next year. Violation of the ban would result in heavy fines and taking cuts from sales proceeds.
Huawei has reported that the U.S. government has returned hardware to it that was seized back in 2017. The Chinese firm has dropped a lawsuit it filed in June over the matter as a result.
