The UK's digital regulator, Ofcom, has announced that it will be easier to switch from some broadband packages. The changes mean the new broadband provider has to manage the switchover.

Ofcom has revealed new rules coming into effect today which will see that customers are "fairly" compensated by ISPs if there are any faults with their broadband or landline service.
A UK ISP, Hyperoptic, has tested a 10 Gbps broadband connection over its existing network infrastructure. The company has heralded the achievement as a UK first. No launch date for 10 Gbps was stated.
