Nintendo will end active development support for Mario Kart Tour on October 4, 2023. The popular karting game will no longer receive major content updates, but will remain playable.

As part of its earnings report earlier today, Nintendo announced that it has delayed Mario Kart Tour, the series' first entry on mobile devices, to the summer of 2019 in order to improve its quality.
In a legal stoush over intellectual property, Nintendo has been awarded damages and an injunction against a company that offered unofficial, real-life Mario Kart tours around the streets of Tokyo.
With its first game, Super Mario Run, under its belt, Nintendo has now revealed that it will release a Mario Kart game for smartphones. Mario Kart Tour will arrive sometime before March 2019.
Late last year, Nintendo and Universal Studios announced that they would build a Nintendo-themed attraction at three of its parks. Now, it has been confirmed that a Mario Kart ride will be built.
