Facebook's LOL app, which was expected to be a meme hub aimed at regaining popularity among teens, has apparently been canceled, with the company's youth team shifting its focus to Messenger Kids.

The European Parliament has approved a new piece of copyright legislation which could affect the distribution of memes online. It also includes a so-called link tax that targets Google and others.
A highly criticised amendment to the European Union copyright law, which targets memes and other remixes, has been passed by a committee of MEPs and will now go to parliament for a vote in July.
