Xiaomi has announced new Android One smartphones in Spain today. The Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite are successors to last year's Android One device, Mi A1 which brought stock Android in an affordable package.

Xiaomi has started rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Mi A1. The update is rolling out over-the-air (OTA) in batches so it should reach all devices in the near future.
The latest Android 8.0 Oreo beta brings a number of improvements for the Xiaomi Mi A1, including fast charging support, faster app load times, smooth animations and several performance improvements.
Xioami is now recruiting Mi A1 beta testers who are willing to try Android 8.0 Oreo and provide their feedback so the company can refine it and make sure it's stable before releasing it publicly.
Google debuted its Android One program years ago. While it has been slow to take off, the firm has now tapped Xiaomi, one of the largest handset manufacturers in Asia, and released the Mi A1.
