Nintendo has announced that most online services for its 3DS and Wii U consoles will be shut down sometime in April 2024. The consoles will still work offline, and users can still redownload games.

Nintendo has announced that it is gradually discontinuing its eShop on Wii U and 3DS family of consoles. The storefront will effectively be defunct from March 2023, barring a few capabilities.
Nintendo will be ending support for the Netflix app on the Wii U and 3DS by June 30. New users are already unable to download the service from the eShop for both devices since December 31, 2020.
