Netflix has finally exceeded one billion downloads on the Play Store. It's still way ahead of its competitors Hulu and Prime Video, both of which have less than 500 million installs.

Today, Microsoft announced that Windows 10 is now running on over a billion active devices. Its original target was to hit this goal within two to three years of the OS being released.
WhatsApp has announced that it now has over a billion daily active users around the world. It also said that monthly active users have risen to 1.3 billion - an increase of 30% in 18 months.
Microsoft said in 2015 that Windows 10 would reach a billion devices in 2-3 years. It now says that, "due to the focusing of our phone business", it will take longer than expected to reach that goal.
Last April, Microsoft said Windows 10 would reach a billion devices within 2-3 years. This week, it said it's installed on 350 million devices so far. But how likely is it that it will reach its goal?
WhatsApp isn't the only one to pass the billion-user milestone this week. Following the publication of Alphabet's quarterly earnings, Google revealed that its Gmail service has a billion users too.
Back in September, WhatsApp revealed that it had 900 million active users, and now - two weeks after dropping its annual $0.99 subscription fee - it's announced that it has over a billion users.
