A third installment of the popular horror game series Outlast has been announced by video game developer Red Barrels. Titled The Outlast Trials, the survival horror game is still a work-in-progress.
Red Barrels Studio's acclaimed horror title Outlast and its Whistleblower DLC are now free to claim on the Humble Store. The deal will last for 48 hours, giving a Steam key and a DRM-free version.
Today, Red Barrel has released their newest horror title, Outlast 2. It tasks the player with investigating a doomsday cult's hometown, Temple Gate, following a mysterious murder of a woman.
Outlast 2 has been denied certification in Australia, due to scenes which imply sexual violence. As a result, the game will not see a release in the country unless it is censored and resubmitted.
