The PlayStation Portal device that enabled local streaming with the PlayStation 5 can now do more than that. A surprise beta update has enabled cloud streaming.
Sony has acquired deep learning company iSIZE to enhance its video streaming capabilities with high-quality, low-bandwidth technologies as it expands its PlayStation cloud and mobile gaming platforms.
The PlayStation Portal will allow PS5 gamers to play their titles over their home WiFi network on an 8-inch 1080p display with a DualSense controller on either side. It's coming later this year.
