Microsoft will let its Copilot generative AI assistant analyze any Python code and data you put in the Excel spreadsheet app and will actually insert Python code for you in the app.

The Python Editor has been created by Microsoft to help expand the recently added support for the Python coding language in Excel spreadsheets for longer and more complex coding jobs.
With this new feature, users can type in Python code in the Excel app. The calculations are then run on a Microsoft cloud server and are returned to the Excel app, with plots and visualizations.
