Google has just made the Quickoffice apps for iOS and Android free to download and use in yet another challenge to Microsoft Office and its free Office Web Apps.

A new rumor claims that Google plans to launch a version of its QuickOffice apps as a free browser service to take some of the market away from Microsoft's Office Web Apps.
In a post on their Enterprise Blog, Google show just how far they've come in offering a better experience when working with, and converting, Microsoft Office file formats to Google Docs.
Google has announced it has acquired Quickoffice, which make office productivity software products mostly for mobile phones and tablets. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
