A third of Americans are relying on free ad-support TV streaming services, according to a new report. FAST services like Freevee saw good growth year-over-year while Netflix and others struggled.
The Roku Channel will add premium subscriptions from more than 25 networks beginning in late January. This paid content will sit alongside existing free, ad-supported subscriptions in the same place.
Beginning next month, Roku users will be able to view live news from ABC News, Cheddar, People TV, and more partners via the Roku Channel app. The app will also receive new discovery features in May.
