A new patent from Google appears to show a ceiling-bound monitor that could be used to track your sleep. It would be able to monitor your vital signs by using infrared technology.

Back in 2014, Nintendo began working on a sleep-tracking device that didn't need to be worn on the body, as part of its Quality of Life program - but it now says that the device has been cancelled.
Misfit says its latest wearable device, the Ray, is its "most versatile activity tracker yet", with an aluminum body and a design intended to blend in with watches, bracelets and jewelry.
