IBM has announced that it's acquiring Apptio for $4.6 billion. Apptio has more than 1,500 clients, including more than half of the Fortune 100 companies. The deal is expected to close in a few months.

At the Microsoft Build 2023 event today, Microsoft has unveiled its new unified analytics platform dubbed "Microsoft Fabric". As expected, Fabric will be a Software as a Service (SaaS) product.
