Today, Microsoft has officially shut down its TechRewards program that was originally started by Nokia back in 2012. The project rewarded developers for integrating new features into their apps.

In a new email, Microsoft has announced that it is shutting down its program for developers on January 6, 2017. Starting today, Points, XP and badges will no longer be awarded.
