The popular messaging app, Telegram, has been updated to version 5.8. With the new update, group and channel admins can finally hand communities over to someone else if they're bored of managing them.

Telegram co-founder and CEO Pavel Durov today announced that the iOS version of the messaging app is due for a major update in the next couple of weeks, building on a completely new codebase.
Telegram 4.8 is now available for download. The update brings new features including Telegram Login, automatic night mode, and video streaming for the times you want to watch content right away.
Apple has apparently removed two of Telegram's apps from its App Store, citing "inappropriate content". Interestingly, the two applications continue to be available on the Google Play Store.
Telegram has now released the Telegram Database Library (TDLib) in order to further aid developers of third party Telegram applications. TDLib handles core functions so developers can focus on the UI.
Telegram has launched a new client called Telegram X for Android. It's the first of the Telegram X apps to be rolled out and the company hopes that it can use it to speed up innovation.
