Roku has agreed to acquire the rights to content from Quibi, a deal that will make shows produced by the short-form streaming service available on The Roku Channel sometime this year.
Two and a half years since it launched in the U.S., The Roku Channel is now available in the UK, bringing over 10,000 movies, TV episodes, and documentaries in a free, ad-supported service.
Beginning next month, Roku users will be able to view live news from ABC News, Cheddar, People TV, and more partners via the Roku Channel app. The app will also receive new discovery features in May.
