Google has announced a major update for its Earth service, which lets you see pictures from the past 36 years from all over the world and see how landscapes have changed up until the current day.

The latest update to Google's Earth Timelapse brings petabytes of new imagery data from more than 5 million satellite images. The update is now live on Earth Engine website and on desktop.
