The social media platform Twitter (now X) now allows its users to hide their blue checkmarks if they want to. The feature is available for the subscriber of the $8/mo subscription called X Blue.

The newly restored blue checkmarks are another example of a partial reversal for Twitter, which took down the legacy verified badges for nearly all of the accounts that had them just a few days ago.
Elon Musk has admitted that he's paying for a few celebrities like Stephen King, LeBron James, and William Shatner to keep their blue verified checkmark when everyone else now has to pay $8 a month.
Now the only way you can have a blue "Verified" checkmark on your Twitter page is to pay $8 a month for a Twitter Blue subscription that also comes with a number of other features.
