After bringing many changes to X, Elon Musk has reportedly removed the option to hide the blue verification checkmark on users' X profiles even though they are paying for a premium account.

In a move to boost the number of profiles with blue checks on the platform, X has begun to grant users a verified checkmark on their profiles as long as they have at least 2,500 premium followers.
X has announced that it will now allow organizations to advertise open positions through a new Hiring service. The feature is currently in beta has been opened to a limited number of companies.
Twitter said the new DM limit policy is designed "to reduce spam in Direct Messages." However, it may also be another way to gets users to sign up for a paid Twitter Blue verified account.
Reports suggest that the Elon Musk-owned social media company Twitter is working on a job listings feature. Verified organisations will be able to post job openings on their Twitter profile for free.
One of the two fake Twitter accounts claimed it was the UK branch of Disney Junior, while the other claimed it was an account for MTV's The Challenge show. Both accounts have now been taken down.
The newly restored blue checkmarks are another example of a partial reversal for Twitter, which took down the legacy verified badges for nearly all of the accounts that had them just a few days ago.
Now the only way you can have a blue "Verified" checkmark on your Twitter page is to pay $8 a month for a Twitter Blue subscription that also comes with a number of other features.
Twitter was expected to remove verified checkmarks from older, non-paying, accounts this weekend, but the social network decided instead to label them as having a "legacy verified account."
The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Politico, and other big media outlets have publicly revolted against Elon Musk's plan to charge $8 a month for a blue "verification" check on Twitter accounts.
Elon Musk has reportedly ordered the Twitter development team to include the verification badge in a new $19.99/month Twitter Blue subscription within a few days or risk losing their jobs.
