It appears that Microsoft has finally starting removing Windows Store apps which haven't been updated with age ratings as many developers have started reporting that their apps have been unpublished.

Microsoft has once again cautioned developers to update their apps with the new age rating system or risk having them removed next month. The latest email includes private beta apps as well.
Bank of America has removed its apps from Microsoft's store and disabled existing installations on devices, advising customers to visit its mobile site instead - but it doesn't work on Windows Phones.
Three apps were removed from the Windows Phone Store last week. Two of them returned a couple of days ago while the third, VLC Remote has returned now; it's still unclear why it was unpublished.
