Intel today announced its latest round of vPro CPUs, which are from the Whiskey Lake family. The chips are designed for mobile workers, promising 65% better performance than three-year-old PCs.

Ahead of IFA 2018 today, Intel announced its new Amber Lake Y-series extremely low power CPUs and its new Whiskey Lake U-series ultra low power chips, all of which are built on 14nm process nodes.
Intel made a number of announcements at Computex today, including its first ever 5GHz processor for the company's 50th anniversary, and new Amber Lake Y-series and Whiskey Lake U-series CPUs.
During its earnings call yesterday, Intel announced that it will once again delay its 10nm processors, and will instead produce another 14nm generation that's codenamed Whiskey Lake.
