Google is said to be replacing Qualcomm's chipsets in its Pixel phones later this year with an in-house platform called Whitechapel. Two devices, including the Pixel 6, are set to debut with the chip.

Google is reportedly working on designing a custom chipset to power future Pixel devices, as well as Chromebooks. The company is said to be working with Samsung, who will build the chips.
