Microsoft has partnered up with Brookfield to generate 10.5 gigawatts of renewable energy via solar farms and wind farms between 2026 and 2030, which is enough to power 1.8 million homes.

Amazon has said it's increasing the number of renewable energy projects it operates. They consist of wind and solar projects that will be deployed in the United States and European countries.
Microsoft's second purchase of wind energy in the Netherlands in recent years sees it partner up with sustainable energy company Eneco. The deal will run for 15 years, starting from 2022.
Amazon has launched the Amazon Wind Farm Texas, home to more than 100 windmills that are capable of generating one million MWh of energy per year. The windmills stand at over 90 metres tall.
Microsoft has signed a 15-year agreement with GE to purchase all of the wind energy from its new wind farm in Ireland. The deal will better enable clean power sources to be added to the Irish grid.
