Microsoft has released a new version of the Windows Photos app for members of the Dev and Canary Windows Insider channels that was built on the Windows App SDK developer toolset and APIs.

All members of the Windows Insider Program can check out a new update to the Photos app. It adds a new AI-based feature called Generative erase to remove visual clutter and background objects.
Microsoft has confirmed it has added new background removal features in a new Insider update to its Windows Photos app. There are also some other new features included in the app as well.
The new Windows Photos app update also brings back the timeline scrollbar, along with a new Spot Fix feature that allows users to get rid of some unwanted objects in an image, along with bug fixes.
