Last month, Microsoft promised that the Windows kernel was about to get Rust-y, and the change would happen within months if not weeks. Microsoft has kept its word as Rust has indeed arrived.

Microsoft has been working on integrating Rust into Windows for a while. A senior exec David Weston recently confirmed that Rust-based code will soon be booting inside Windows kernel.
