With its Android 5.0 rollout now finalized, Sony has announced its plans to release Android 5.1 from July for many of its devices - but it appears that many devices will not be upgraded.

Sony has released its Android 5.0 update for two more handsets in its range, and promises that it will roll out the Lollipop update to four of its Xperia Z-Series devices "in the next few weeks".

Verizon Wireless has announced its plans to carry the Sony Xperia Z2 tablet in the United States. The powerful and elegant Android tablet will be available starting July 17th, 2014.
