Google's YouTube TV now has over 8 million users since it first launched on a limited basis in April 2017, which makes it the biggest internet-based TV service in the US by a wide margin.
This is the first price hike for YouTube TV in over 2 years. It goes into effect today for new users and will hit current users on April 18. It's lowering its 4K Plus add-on price to $9.99 a month.
The limited test will allow a small number of YouTube TV subscribers to test pre-selected channels for its multiview screen feature, which lets people watch up to four channels at once.
Google today announced that it is increasing the monthly subscription price for YouTube TV to $64.99, effective today. The service is also adding eight new ViacomCBS channels, as promised.
