AMD has quietly begun introducing new stickers for its Zen 4-based Ryzen 7000 series mobile APUs. AMD feels these new stickers are necessary as the Ryzen 7000 mobile lineup is pretty confusing.
AMD, which launched its Ryzen 7040 series (Phoenix) APUs at CES earlier this year, has quietly throttled the core clock speeds of the onboard IGP. PCIe 5.0 also never came to Phoenix.
AMD's next-gen Phoenix APUs are rumored to carry up to 24 Compute Units (CUs) according to a new report. Paired with its high clocks, these new APUs are expected to be faster even than the GTX 1060.
